So pour a bacon-infused Old Fashioned and relax while we pig out with Dara.
For this week’s Nightcap exclusive, we sit down with Conor Sweeney, the Brand Ambassador in NYC for Teeling Whiskey Co. Dublin has traditionally been the heart of the Irish whiskey industry, and in 1782, when Teeling forebear Walter Teeling established his distillery, there were over 35 different distilleries in Dublin alone. Today, the Teeling Whiskey distillery is the only operational distillery in the city and home to the Spirit of Dublin. Pour yourself a wee dram and join us for a chat with Conor as he shares this great story and plans for the future.

We recently sat down with bartending royalty, Chris Lowder, the former Head Bartender at the Four Seasons in Seoul, South Korea. As Head Bartender, Chris was responsible for cocktail creation and beverage menu curation for the hotel’s six bars and restaurants. In its opening year (2016), his flagship bar Charles H. was named by Drinks International as the 8th Best Hotel Bar in the World, Best Bar in Korea, and took 52nd spot on 100 Best Bars in the World. In the same year, Chris was also nominated by Tales of the Cocktail as International Bartender of the Year, so, yeah, he’s kind of a big deal. Grab yourself a Singapore Sling while we rap with Chris….
You’re craving a good brew. And in the age of the craft beer, there is no shortage of pints to be found. But it is a jungle out there– how to tell one saison from the next. What separates the great craft beer halls from the rest is an expert steward manning taps, able to guide you through the many options.
For this week’s NightCap we chatted with Christian Blake, the US brand representative for Erdinger Weissbier. For over 130 years, Erdinger’s outstanding quality of wheat beers has been rooted in their passion for Bavarian brewing skills. Erdinger has been brewing exclusively in Erding since 1886 – every single bottle – and they’ve never brewed anything other than the Bavarian specialty “weissbier.”
This week we caught up with Nick Feris, rum educator, author and founder of The Rum Collective, the longest running rum society in the U.S. based in Seattle. An advocate for quality and a voice for lesser known, traditionally-made rums, Nick tirelessly promotes the beauty of his favorite spirit, loves overproof rums, and probably knows a sea shanty or two. So pour yourself a measure of grog as we chat with Nick.
